[[It's been an exciting day for one Emmy Altava here in Goldenrod!

Not only did she wake up to find her scooter parked neatly outside her apartment building, but it's full of fuel and working perfectly! So of course, the first thing she does (after breakfast, obviously!) is leap on top of it and start riding it around town in a manner that....might not be considered following the road rules. But she has a license! It's a license from back home but it's....still a license, right?

Oh well!

After a while, she started to feel bad that her Pokemon were being left out. It wasn't fair that they should have to sit in their Pokeballs while she had fun all over the city!

But then Emmy had a brainwave.

So if you happen to be in the streets of Goldenrod, you might see....well.

This was a fantastic idea, Machi! Go a little faster, I want to take more shots!

[[Completely oblivious to the fact that she could fall and crack her skull open, Emmy is having a marvelous time, while Machi is kind of holding on to her trainer and the scooter for dear life. Having four arms is great, sometimes.

.....oh, alright. But you really shouldn't get into the habit of sleeping outside like this. Especially not up this high!

Well, I don't get as much sleep as I'd like during the week due to spending the entire day working and then training my Pokémon late at night... The fatigue tends to catch up during the weekend.

[And the heat is only making him even more sleepy.]

....Luke, you need to take care of yourself a little better! Where are you working?

[All right, Clive's just going to sit himself up now and lean back against the Regigigas's... head thing?]

I work at the department store as well as the Breeding Center.

[Well, he actually quit the department store a while back to take on that undercover police assistant job for Team Rocket, but he can't tell her that obviously... And he still works the same hours that he did at the department store anyway.]

Well no wonder you're sleep-deprived! Having two jobs would do that to anyone!

Of course I do! The professor's number one apprentice should always be a hard worker!

I am planning on travelling around soon, though, so I'd like to have a stable supply of money before I leave. That way I can focus less on working and more on enjoying what wonderful things Johto and Kanto have to offer.

I think that's a very smart thing for you to do, Luke. I need to travel to Blackthorn City eventually to get the final badge here in Johto, but I hate leaving Goldenrod. It's so lovely!

I....I miss home, but I've met some incredible people here, not to mention the Pokemon! I...well, I might be hesitating to get that last badge a little.

I don't know if I want to leave yet.

No. I only have one badge, and it's from this city's Gym.
