[[Should you be wandering the streets of Violet City today, chances are you'll see Emmy happily striding along! If you're nearby, however, chances are you'll be clearing the road fairly soon when you see the Pokemon slowly gliding along behind her.

It's her newly evolved Gyarados and she's quite a monster.]]

[[As Emmy walks, Magik rumbling in agreement, she starts breaking into song. Her voice, while not trained, is strong and pure, and she carries the notes with ease. Occasionally, she'll turn to look at the other pokemon following her with a mixture of mild concern and amusement; it's her Ariados, and he's happily bouncing along to the tune.

Should you be from her world, chances are you'll recognize it.

Confident in her surroundings, Emmy twirls and spins with the music, all the while meandering down the road, followed by her two Pokemon. Coming to the end of the melody, she pauses, wrinkling her nose slightly.]]

Oh, what came after that part....

For a few days, at least; I'm travelling with someone - a battling partner, of sorts - and as much as we would like to obtain these badges as quickly as possible, journeys like this do take their toll.

Well, I intend to be here until I earn that darn badge, but with any luck it will only be for the next week or so while I train my pokemon up those last few levels.

After that, I suppose I'll continue down the path to the next Gym! Getting the badges is my main goal at the moment.

That would be wonderful, Mr Kimblee! I have to admit, I can't handle much more training on wild Pokemon only!

You receive far more experience training against higher-leveled creatures, believe me; the routes were incredibly annoying when it came to training Dorian and Abdiel, to say nothing of my strongest.

I see no reason why I couldn't assist you, especially given the access to the Centers; Archer and I learned early on that it's much easier and far less time-consuming to train off of each other rather than attempt to constantly battle wild Pokémon.

[It's been quite a while since he's gotten to do something along these lines - casual socializing is something that he had done a fair amount of back before the war, particularly spending time in the company of women; for obvious reasons, that hadn't been an option after the campaign in Ishval. He had regretted nothing about how he had spent his time after his release from Central Prison in Amestris; he still regrets nothing about it. At the same time, in a way it's...nice, to be able to do this again.

It's been a rather glorious day indeed.]
