PUZZLE 005 [GOLDENROD CITY - VIDEO/ACTION]
VIDEO
[[The feed opens to Emmy's smiling face, shaking slightly as she adjusts the camera. She appears to be in a square of sorts, sitting on a bench under a tree.]]
Does anyone out there have any advice for when it comes to visiting the Goldenrod gym for a battle? I've heard the leader is a bit childish, and it sometimes causes problems for challengers. Any hints would be appreciated!

ACTION
[[Her message completed, Emmy places her Pokegear in her pocket and awaits responses. Nearby, her Machamp and her Pignite are sparring. Occasionally she'll give them a word of praise or a correction, but it's clear her mind is elsewhere.
When replies come in, she turns to the side to answer them, displaying a certain reluctance to show her Pokemon on the Pokegear, focusing the camera only on herself as they spar off to the side.
Emmy isn't usually this disconnected from her Pokemon when they're training, but her thoughts have been heavy for the past couple of days, ever since she engaged in communication with an anonymous Team Rocket member. Whoever the person was, they'd unnerved her with their knowledge of her team and their current statuses. For this reason, she's not broadcasting her training session to the network at all.
It bothers her somewhat, as she hates feeling like this. She shouldn't have to hide her Pokemon; she wants to show them off! But if she's going to have any sort of advantage over this Team Rocket member, she has to keep her team a secret. Especially since they mentioned they'd be targeting her specifically. But why?]]
This is all so horribly creepy....
[[She's zapped back to reality as her Pignite goes rolling past her, the victim of a sneaky throw from her Machamp. Pushing her insecurities to the side, she decides to look forward, smiling as said Pignite manages to jump straight back into the battle. After all, isn't that what she should be doing?]]

[o...kay that's
definitely something isn't it]

[[Just let her clear her throat and go into a....well, it's a kind of Layton-like pose, really.]]
Whomever was sending me those texts was doing it to scare me. To unnerve me. They also made that threat which, really, could be taken in quite a nasty manner.
Throughout our encounters with you you've never directly moved to personally kill anyone. Even the 'losers' of the game on the Crown Petone ended up perfectly alright, and I don't believe you were out to directly harm the people of Misthallery, you're just a self-centred jerk.
[[Continuing to think!]]
You also never really threatened anyone behind....well, forgive me for this, but behind the mask of anonymity. The game on the Crown Petone could count but that was...well. It wasn't cold, like the tone of that text. You're a very dramatic fellow who likes to put a lot of flair into what he does, and there was nothing of the sort in that message. It was cold as ice.
[[Clapping her hands together now!]]
And finally, the sender of those texts did those horrible things to those innocent people purely to cause fear and outrage. While I'm sure you don't mind the occasional bit of outrage, you don't seem the sort to get pleausre out of other people's fear, and I really don't think you're the sort to harm innocent people for the sake of it.

Well! I suppose I should thank you for actually taking the time to think this through rather than classing me in with...that. Whatever that was trying to be.
That aside, however - while you're right in your thought that I'm not the one sending those texts to you, I can't say that I have any idea who is, either. Same affiliation or not, the person hasn't made their identity known to anyone that I've seen.

[[You can also have an eyeroll! But it's...not as vindictive as it could be. Shush.]]
But you're welcome. And I'm not surprised you don't know who's sending these horrid things out.
Perhaps I should take your advice and move on.

Although that's probably for the best, really - I would consider looking into how that particular parlor trick with your Pokémon could have been done, but otherwise? There's not much to do until something else happens, assuming it's not a one-time stunt.

[[Well! Now is the time in which she should depart, because this is....a surprisingly decent turn of events and she'd rather end things than continue and risk an argument.
So she'll just turn to leave, when....!
...oh hell, she't can't resist.]]
But I'll leave in the part where I beat you.

[...why is this conversation so decent
conversations with you should not be so decent
EITHER WAY WE ARE LEAVING WHILE WE STILL HAVE THE LAST WORD]
