4TH WALL
[[It's been an exciting day for one Emmy Altava here in Goldenrod!
Not only did she wake up to find her scooter parked neatly outside her apartment building, but it's full of fuel and working perfectly! So of course, the first thing she does (after breakfast, obviously!) is leap on top of it and start riding it around town in a manner that....might not be considered following the road rules. But she has a license! It's a license from back home but it's....still a license, right?
Oh well!
After a while, she started to feel bad that her Pokemon were being left out. It wasn't fair that they should have to sit in their Pokeballs while she had fun all over the city!
But then Emmy had a brainwave.
So if you happen to be in the streets of Goldenrod, you might see....well.
A Machamp riding a scooter.
A Machamp riding a scooter wearing a pink helmet with an excited girl on her shoulders.

This was a fantastic idea, Machi! Go a little faster, I want to take more shots!
[[Completely oblivious to the fact that she could fall and crack her skull open, Emmy is having a marvelous time, while Machi is kind of holding on to her trainer and the scooter for dear life. Having four arms is great, sometimes.
Just wave the Emmymobile down if you want to speak to her; just expect a picture or two!]]

Well, I've obviously never been in the military, but defending your country is quite a noble thing to do, I believe!
[[....no but those symbols tho]]
no subject
...indeed...
[...he's definitely noticed the staring.]
Is there something wrong, Miss Altava?
no subject
[[What's a good word....what is a good word...um....]]
They're...cool! I think they're very cool symbols, Major!
no subject
[What does he do with this - ]
Well, either way, that's...a very kind thing for you to say, Miss Altava, thank you. I've personally never cared to keep them covered - might I ask why this person you know does that?
no subject
I'm not really all that sure; I think the main reason is the fact that he can't use his alchemy here in Johto.
[[Oh come on it's on topic just ask]]
...on that note, I was wondering...
[[JUST ASK]]
I don't....suppose your alchemy works here, does it? It's just that I've wanted to see it ever since Mr Kimblee mentioned it, and I...!
[[....well at least she asked!]]
no subject
[That's interesting; he can't say that he knows why, though perhaps one of the circles was damaged...in that case, he can see where he would want to keep them covered for the time being as well.
However, he certainly knows by now that his own alchemy is still fully functional.]
Well, at any rate, mine does work here, yes. Would you like a demonstration?

[[CANNOT

Has he explained to you what these particular arrays are capable of?

[[no but
s-so curious tho]]

[[Let her grab your hand and practically drag you toward the route okay!]]
I can't wait to see!
no subject
I'll be sure to make it beautiful for you, Miss Altava.
no subject
[[The route, thankfully, is quiet; the occasional bird Pokemon sings out from the trees, but other than that, it's deserted. Perfect!]]
I think this should do nicely, Major!
no subject
I think it will, yes.
[He smirks at her a bit before clapping his hands together, the sound echoing sharply in the deserted area; a flash of bright blue energy crackles between his hands, though it's visible for only a brief moment before he drops down low - the motion is fluid, agile, and a split second after his hands hit the ground the earth tears itself up from the inside.
The energy leaves him quickly, flooding forth from his body all at once and channeled directly into the ground, the first strains of it shooting out a few feet along the grass before the explosions start, picking up momentum and tearing a fiery swath down a good length of the route, the force of the detonations reverberating sharply through the ground and culminating in a final, powerful blast about forty feet away.
The sound is immense; were that final explosion any closer it would have been deafening. As it stands, he knows he'll be hearing it for quite some time, even after the shockwaves have calmed themselves; as he pushes himself easily back up to his feet, he's smiling to himself.
Beautiful.]

I....
[[She noticed the flash of blue light between his hands as the Major fired off the attack, but she's still trying to process the entire situation. With just his hands, the Major ripped a hole in the ground, firing off that incredible explosion.
Words almost fail her.]]
...t-that was...incredible, I...
no subject
Thank you, Miss Altava. Are you all right?
no subject
Yes, I...I'm fine....
[[She's not trusting her legs too much at the moment, anyway.]]
That was just...I've never seen anything like it, it was like magic...
no subject
It often looks like that to those that aren't familiar with alchemy, yes.
no subject
So that's your...main technique, then?
[[A cold thought settles in her mind.]]
....I can understand why you'd be an asset on the battlefield, Major.
no subject
That was a simplified version of it, yes. Unleashing the full extent of my power isn't a terribly good idea this close to an area populated with civilians; I'm sure you understand.
no subject
[[....um
no really
what]]
I...how strong are you?!
...ALSO HTML. I'M DONE I PROMISE
[He glances back at the city behind them, studying it.]
...I would estimate that about a block of that city would be gone in one strike. Give or take.
no subject
[[....wow, um
what has she gotten herself into, here]]
You're...certainly something else, Major Kimblee, I...
[[...am mildly terrified
is
it obvious]]
I wouldn't want to get on your bad side!
no subject
From what I've seen, Miss Altava, you have nothing to worry about in that regard.
no subject
Well, especially since I'm offering to pay for lunch, after all! I think you need me around~!
[[STILL RATHER TERRIFIED, HIDING IT UNDER QUAINTNESS]]
